SunSeed APV IL works to increase the value of agricultural land through the proper realization of agrivoltaic potential. The company is developing a data-based decision support system for agrivoltaic projects, aimed at helping farmers, kibbutzim, energy developers, and financing bodies understand how solar energy production can be combined with active agriculture. The core pain point it solves is the uncertainty between agriculture and energy: how a crop will respond to shading, how much solar coverage can be justified, and how design affects yield, quality, operations, and return. The first product, Data Ready Canopy, is a pre-construction agrivoltaic readiness survey that maps site and crop conditions, identifies sensitivity points and potential, and produces a decision basis for planning, piloting, regulation, and financing.
